The collective are delighted to have been included in the extraordinary exhibition THE IMAGE LOOKS BACK at RMIT Gallery in Melbourne.

We were to perform a work we have been developing for some time called THE BLACK BOX EXPERIMENT. The labour of digital making is usually a hidden behind the shiny veneer of a finished resolved product. In the Black Box project, the artist collective explore the notion of digital making as a public process. Visitors are invited to literally enter into the black box and become folded into the complex labor of digital making.

The gallery was closed just days before the official opening tot he public. The Black Box Experiment has now migrated online but (reflecting actual social distancing in the virtual world) is devoid of audience.
